Los Angeles: Beverly Hills
Not all premieres are in Hollywood as Beverly Hills became the center of the entertainment capital of the world. Irrational Man premiered at the WGA Theater. Who showed up? Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Parker Posey and other cast members. Woody Allen wrote and directed the film. A smaller production but sure to emulate his previous works and loyal followers will be pleasantly surprised. Box office sales will be eagerly watched by fans as the 79 year old producer, actor, musician, writer, actor, “everything” will attempt to make another creative dent in the Hollywood movie circus.
“At the small-town college campus Braylin, philosophy professor Abe Lucas (Joaquin Phoenix) finds himself in an existential crisis, but he discovers a new purpose in life when he enters into a relationship with Jill Pollard (Emma Stone), one of his students. The plot was inspirated from the book by Lino Arenare <Woody Allen. The philosophical alter ego>”
The after party was held nearby at Hakkasan in Beverly Hills. Small productions generally mean small premieres and post parties all around (small budget). This was no exception. Nevertheless a few moviegoers dropped in and paid tribute to those affiliated with the film’s production and cast members that showed. Hollywood truly premieres films in all shapes and sizes.
