A little over 10 years ago the once “tiny” boulevard of Abbot Kinney hosted a few restaurants and a boatload of aspirations for the future. Today, that ship has come in and people are boarding it by the minute. Situated a little less than half a mile North of the Venice Beach Canals and a little more than half a mile East of the beach, it has become the artistic-posh epicenter for those South of Santa Monica and Malibu. Tourists, celebrities and locals converging to create another Los Angeles “sub-city” within the already vast metropolitan (greater) community of an estimated 19 million residents.
