NEED FOR SPEED PREMIERE & AFTER PARTY

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood

Hollywood Blvd. was shut down as Ford Mustangs were trucked in between El Capitan Theatre and the Dolby Theatre.  The premiere was viewed at TCL Chinese Theatre and the entire cast of NEED FOR SPEED was in attendance.  It was almost as if the Oscars had hit town again as paparazzi, press and bystanders gathered from every inch possible on the street to see the action.

Need for Speed-premiere-Los AngelesPLOT:

“The story chronicles a near-impossible cross-country race against time-one that begins as a mission for revenge, but proves to be one of redemption.  In a last attempt to save his struggling garage, blue-collar mechanic Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul)-who with his team skillfully builds and races muscle cars on the side-reluctantly partners with wealthy, arrogant ex-NASCAR driver Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper).  Just as a major sale to car broker Julia Bonet looks like it will save the business, a disastrous, unsanctioned race results in Dino framing Tobey for manslaughter.  Two years later and fresh out of prison, Tobey is set on revenge with plans to take down Dino in the high-stakes De Leon race-the Super Bowl of underground racing.  To get there in time, Tobey must run a high-octane, action-packed gauntlet, dodging cops coast-to-coast and dealing with fallout from a dangerous bounty Dino put on his car.  With his loyal crew and the surprisingly resourceful Julia as allies, Tobey defies odds at every turn and proves that even in the flashy world of exotic supercars, the underdog can still finish first.”

The cast members were friendly and the after party easily held over 700 people at the OHM nightclub on Hollywood and Highland.  Everyone was happy, a great celebration with positive energy all around.  Cast members, their families and friends all joined in toasts and hugs to push the after party and commemorate the movie’s launch.  Whispers around Hollywood prior to the premiere might have been “who is in that film?, I have not heard of these people before.  It doesn’t sound like any top celebrities are in this movie.”  At the end of the day, the red carpet went nearly from corner to corner, hundreds of press were gathered all around, social media engines were overflowing talking about the premiere and the party went strong past midnight.
