The Marchesa dinner was probably the most elegant of all New York Fashion Week events with a small and select “A List” peppered in the crowd.
The Darby tends to draw in less of the “want to be” crowd in general, in comparison to most venues. Perhaps the restaurant – downstairs club combination allows for a more discerning or mature audience. The fact that the venue has live entertainment is also a throw back in time to a more sophisticated era (which venues have seem to lost somewhere in between hip hop and Twitter). The lovely Kate Nauta performed, taking the crowd’s attention away from Rachel Zoe, Jim Carey and Harvey Weinstein. You might remember her as the sexy short haired blonde villain (model, actress and singer) in the movie Transporter 2.

No wonder Leonardo DiCaprio seems to be here often (downstairs) when in town. One funny comment I did hear while refreshing my champagne was “hey, that’s Rachel Zoe next to you. She is like the hottest person right now. Everyone wants her at their party.” I replied, “ok”.
