NEW YORK: Meatpacking District
Wilhelmina had their agency party celebrating New York Fashion Week at the soon to be newly renovated La Cenita restaurant on 14th Street in the Meatpacking District. EMM Group changed the name recently from Abe and Arthur’s and from the looks of it, have just begun renovations (unfortunately not in time for fashion week). There venues throughout Manhattan tend to attract a large model crowd regardless so it was difficult to determine which attendees were for Wilhelmina and which for EMM’s promotional brand.

The male models hoarded the food buffet as if they hadn’t eaten in 3 days (probably hadn’t looking as skinny as they all did) while the women models sipped back on cocktails and danced away (alcohol carries a significant amount of calories). It’s always nice when the agency pushes for their models to attend their agency events. At least there is a guarantee of a good looking crowd, assuming the scouts did their jobs correctly.
Yes, and they can dance… Dance the night away for certain. It was the ONLY fashion party that we went to the past week where people were actually dancing. The majority of the events have been stand around, drink, sit, talk to people and try to pretend there is interest in something coming out of people’s mouths whilst just looking for a pretty lover.
