LOS ANGELES: Venice Beach
Mischa Barton, the sexy British-Irish, London born and New York raised actress is back in action. Or to rephrase that, she never left. She has completed or in the process of completing (post production) 24 projects since 2012. A very busy girl needless to say. Her latest film which just wrapped, Deserted, is centered around a girl who was just recently released from prison.
“When twenty-four-year-old Jae is released from prison for killing her mother, she returns to her childhood home in small-town Ridgecrest. The desire to go anywhere but there prompts her to agree to join her brother on a road trip out to Death Valley – which results in getting them hopelessly lost in the most stunning, but unforgiving topographical terrain on the planet.”
Written and directed by Ashley Avis whilst produced by Edward Winters (Ashley’s fiancé), the film has already received attention via Mischa’s fan page (click here).

Ashley, the young 27 year old director/writer says about Mischa,
“Mischa was the perfect choice for Jae. Not only is she an exceptional actress, but she has both an emotional and story sensibility that is – simply put – rare. She did an incredible amount of research. She threw herself into the role of Jae. I was fortunate to work with such an outstandingly dedicated cast.”
Mischa in past years has been targeted by gossip tabloids and fly by night journalists. With her movie Deserted now wrapped and more projects in post production, fans and critics will be anxious to see her transformation.
