NEW YORK: Chelsea
The Tribeca Film Festival is in full force. Katie Holmes and Robert Duvall (who can forget him in Apocalypse Now with his “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” legendary line and his performances in The Godfather 1 & 2) premiered their recent film, Miss Meadows, in New York at the festival, with a little post celebration as well. Zac Posen seemed to be in tow with the former Dawson’s Creek star as well as ex-wife of Tom Cruise. After all, what’s fashion without Hollywood enforcement? Exactly, not much in this economy is the correct answer. With fashionistas sticking to as many Hollywood A-list types as possible like white on rice to attract global attention, we should see a nice boost in their popularity.
“The story of a substitute teacher (Katie Holmes), who takes it upon herself to right the wrongs of this world by whatever means necessary (keeps a gun in her purse). She focuses on ridding the community of evil, her mission, moving about from town to town every year. But when Miss Meadows falls in love with the town sheriff, she needs to decide if her unexpected love for him is more important than her dark little secret.”
The after party was sponsored in party by VDKA 6100 which launched during the Tribeca Film Festival. The co-creator for the brand is Robert De Niro (another Godfather star). Paparazzi snapped away as Katie Holmes enlightened Zac Posen for a spur of the moment photo session. The designer opted for a non “Terry Richardson” photo style session up against the drapes as she flashed her lovely dress to the crowd.
