Former race car driver Brent Magna (Ethan Hawke) must get behind the wheel of a Shelby Mustang Super Snake and follow the orders of a mysterious man (Jon Voight) to save his kidnapped wife. He is aided on his high speed race against time by an anonymous, computer-savvy girl known just as The Kid (Selena Gomez)

Distributed by Warner Bros, the film premiere took place at the Regency Village Theater or Fox Theater as some may refer to it. After-party was at the local W Hotel, where many post parties seem to occur following the star studded premieres. Selena Gomez, Ethan Hawke, John Voight amongst others did attend. Ethan was surrounded by his children at the after-party, family man. Selena attracted gawking fans on the premieres “Black” carpet (not red).

One of the quieter premieres this summer, many attendees were with families and or work colleagues as a few empty seats remained in the theater and a little bit more than half of an occupied room for the after-party. The movie is a must see for high action suspense. Selena Gomez did not attend the post party.
We won’t say the premiere post party was boring, but the action was indeed a bit slow. Fans were grunting over their disappointment of Ethan Hawke departing after only 45 minutes. As he was not alone, fans were hesitant to ask for photographs, being he was surrounded by his children. A noble gesture on the part of attendees and perhaps a clever smoke screen by Ethan.
