LOS ANGELES: Hollywood
One of the most anticipated movie premieres of the year. The beloved Paul Walker, one of the film’s stars, passed away in November of 2013. The filming of Fast & Furious 7 or the official name, Furious 7, had come to a halt at that point. Since the franchise’s first movie, he and Vin Diesel were the two key stars becoming synonymous with the Fast & Furious name. Hollywood paid tribute to honor his life during a pre-celebration of the premiere and in the film itself at the ending which moviegoers are be able to see. Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson, Luke Evans and other cast members attended the red carpet premiere. Hollywood experienced an overflow of fans screaming and cheering their favorite actors. The pre-celebration prior to the red carpet premiere only expanded the number of inquisitive people to gather around and stay for more celebrity arrivals.
Almost immediately following the concert and pre-celebration the red carpet began with guests and celebrities.
“After defeating Owen Shaw and his crew and securing their amnesties, Dominic Toretto, Brian O’Conner, and the rest of the crew are able to return to the United States and live normal lives again. Dom tries to help Letty regain her memories, while Brian begins to accustom himself to life as a father. Meanwhile, Owen’s older brother, Deckard Shaw, breaks into a secure hospital the comatose Owen is being held in and swears vengeance against Dom.”
The after party was held nearby at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel where more than 1000 guests flooded the grand ballroom and pool area. A positive vibe was set throughout the night as cast members drank, mingled and smiled with fellow co-stars and guests. The overwhelming size of the after party venue led to each celebrity being placed in different areas with their friends and colleagues. Guests who wanted to meet or take a snapshot with each celebrity had to walk from corner to corner to different ground floor and various secret pocket sized rooms to find them all. Last call around 2am led to an “after-after party” (VIP) at the penthouse of the hotel. Those lucky guests extended the party well into sunrise.
