WIND RIVER MOVIE PREMIERE & AFTER PARTY

LOS ANGELES: Downtown

Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world. The city doesn’t seem to stop making artistic history week after week.  The city that keeps dreaming, live streaming and the sunshine keeps beaming.  Wind River debuted starring Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen and was held in downtown LA, far away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.  Fans never seem to crowd the streets downtown for film premieres as most of the tourists that stop and gawk at celebrities on the red carpet are in fact, in Hollywood!  For this reason the city and production studios all love slightly less of a hassle premieres.

PLOT:

“US Fish and Wildlife Service agent Cory Lambert (Renner) discovers a body in the rugged wilderness of the Wind River Indian Reservation. The FBI sends in rookie agent Jane Banner (Olsen), but she is unprepared for the difficulties created by the oppressive weather and isolation of the Wyoming winter. When she employs Cory as a tracker, the two venture deep into a world ravaged by violence and the elements.”

The after party was held nearby, keeping all the action in DTLA.  Cast, crew and invited guests sipped cocktails and pressed juices whilst conversing with those in the film or affiliated with it.  Small budget film, small budget party but quality actors and quality conversations with cocktails.  It was a win win for the first time in a long while.

The film is set to release August 4 and there has been quite the promotional push.  Box Office sales can be monitored after the release by clicking the prior link.  The story is one to follow on the big screen.  Finally a drama that is worth the sit down in the theater.
