This is Los Angeles, where the hits keep coming...

LOS ANGELES: Hollywood

As most of Hollywood prepares for the Cannes Film Festival, the independent film premieres continue to spill out prior to summer box office big budget blockbusters.  The Promise, starring Christian Bale, Oscar Isaac, Angela Sarafyan and others premiered this past week in Hollywood.  Los Angeles is the epicenter for most movie premieres and fans from around the world come to see a glimpse of the “Hollywood Life”.  Onlookers took note of the red carpet premiere and rushed to see what celebrities they could hoping to get a selfie or signature from celebrities.

“Brilliant medical student Michael (Oscar Isaac) meets beautiful dance instructor Ana (Charlotte Le Bon) in late 1914. Their shared Armenian heritage sparks an attraction that explodes into a romantic rivalry between Michael and Ana’s boyfriend (Christian Bale), an American photojournalist who’s dedicated to exposing the truth. As the Ottoman Empire crumbles into war-torn chaos, their conflicting passions must be deferred as they join forces to get themselves and their people to safety.

The film doesn’t release in theaters until April 21st.  But you can always monitor BOX OFFICE SALES by clicking here.  A very different red carpet experience included Cher, Sylvester Stallone, a couple Kardashians and even Orlando Bloom popped by.

The after party was held at a nearby location.  It was back to the after parties of Christmas Past it seems as the bells and whistles were absent.  Yawn.  Definitely a small budget for this “would be” celebration.  But not all Hollywood premieres can be complimented by an outrageous or incredible post premiere party (although they should be – it’s Hollywood after all).  At least we got to meet Rocky, aka Sylvester Stallone
