LOS ANGELES: Brentwood
Chrysalis offers services to low-income and homeless individuals in Los Angeles County to prepare for, attain, and sustain employment. The non-profit offers clients a hand up, not a hand out—building on their strengths and helping to reduce or eliminate any barriers to employment.
All Chrysalis clients enter a self-directed job search program where they receive comprehensive support as they search for work. Clients work closely with their Employment Specialist to build an employment plan and establish short- and long-term goals. Chrysalis provides the tools and support necessary so individuals in the program can succeed in the job market for the rest of their lives.
The 12th Annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball is an event to celebrate the achievement of the organization and honor those who contribute time, effort and capital to help further the charities mission and continue its success. The cocktails, dinner and after-party event took place at the home of Susan Harris and Hayward Kaiser.
Corporate co-sponsors included Grey Goose and Audi who put forth their effort in co-branding themselves with the Chrysalis mission. Collin Farrell and Chris Pine also were part of the evening’s program giving speeches on the those being honored and praising the charity.

Honoree Josh Lieberman of CAA with friend and client Colin Farrell
Josh Lieberman who’s dedication to Chrysalis spawned the non-profit to honor him for duty above and beyond the norm for a Hollywood executive. His dedication to Creative Artists Agency for more than two decades and “Hollywood agent life” (those of us outside Hollywood would compare him to the famous fictional character “Ari” in the show ENTOURAGE) leaves little time for such devotion to charities normally. Also possessing a celebrity roster that includes but not limited to: Colin Farrell, Halle Berry, Tommy Lee Jones, Robert DiNero, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the list goes on… Über successful, the family man was praised for being “hands on” with the organization where time allocated went from once per every other month to almost weekly. A man of character and class (originally from New York) within an industry that is “full of talk” did the walk and was recognized for putting his feet forward.
John Dillon Award Recipient, Johnny Gutierrez, emotionally addresses supporters
An emotional Johnny Gutierrez shares his personal achievements that the program has given to him throughout the course of the his involvement.
