Renowned British actor and musician, Hope Ikpoku Jnr, recognised by fans as Aron from the acclaimed series Top Boy, takes the spotlight as the face of the Mortal Kombat 1 x MJB campaign.

Speaking about the collaboration, Hope Ikpoku Jnr shares, “I’ve known Marc at MJB for a little while now and his innovation to incorporate gaming into fashion is one of the best I’ve seen. As a gamer myself it felt natural to want to get involved and merge my world with the gaming world too. I grew up playing many fighting games, Mortal Kombat was one that always stood out, so it’s only right I get to work with Mortal Kombat on a shoot”.

Sharing insights, Marc Jacques Burton, the founder and creative genius of MJB, emphasised that “At MJB we love to work with people with an authentic link to the brand. MJB my brand has always been centred around musicians, we work with a lot of hip hop stars. Felix is an upcoming rock and hip-hop star. Felix is also a fan of the game, I love his energy and it was great to work with him on the shoot”.

It is the fourth time that Mortal Kombat and MJB have collaborated. Highlights from previous Mortal Kombat X MJB collaborations included the campaign which featured Megan Thee Stallion, Dimitri Vegas, M24 and Michael Venom Page. Tyga, Giggs, Todd Gurley, Megan Thee Stallion and the Cheat Codes were all spotted in the Mortal Kombat X MJB collection. Marc Jacques Burton, the founder of the brand built a Mortal Kombat arcade themed pop up in the heart of Selfridges (London), with the collection being displayed in- between MK arcade & pinball machines. Skepta, AJ Tracey and M24 all attended.
