HBO EMMY AWARDS 2015 AFTER PARTY

Hot night at the Pacific Design Center

LOS ANGELES: West Hollywood

Truth be told, most of the Pre-Emmy Award festivities are average at best.  Not because of the level of professionalism or talent being honored, but the lack of enthusiasm by fans, which make or ultimately fund TV an films.  One production powerhouse can break the TV genre of boredom and that’s HBO.  Always throwing an exciting and expensive bash for various awards, their Emmy’s 2015 after party was no exception.  The power executives and talented celebrity faces were all in attendance.  Photographers were absent from inside the venue limited only to the red carpet.

How much was this over the top production (again)?  A few whispers mentioned nearly seven figures but Home Box Office was reluctant to give a precise number.  The Latin themed band played salsa style music before giving way after 11pm to an electronic DJ who pushed intoxicated guests to dance well into 1am.

The Pacific Design Center seems to be HBO’s backdrop for this annual event conveniently located next door the West Hollywood’s Sheriff Department (don’t drink and drive).  With more than 2,000+ guests in attendance, it was nearly impossible to focus on who was who.  However, Michael Lombardo and other top executives seemed to steadily work their way through the massive crowd to shake hands and greet attendees.  An appreciation for one of the industry’s biggest award winner’s the network has been in existence since 1972.
